ROSITEK LADRILLO MPP2 - HANDHELD BRICK PREPRESS
2-Ton Mechanical Force | Internal Puck Size 2.47" x 4.36" | 6061 Aluminum | 3x5" Mold Included
The Ladrillo 2 Advantage: Industrial Strength for Perfect Brick Production
The MPP2 (Ladrillo 2) is the definitive tool for transforming loose pollen, botanicals, or fine materials into high-density bricks. Utilizing a Heavy-Duty Threaded Rod System and dual extra-long lever handles, it generates up to 2 tons of force. This professional-grade press ensures that every finished brick is structurally perfect, uniform, and stable for long-term storage or processing.
Product Highlights & Core Features
- High-Torque Threaded Drive: Features a massive solid steel nut and a coarse-threaded rod. This mechanical advantage multiplies your manual torque into 4,000 lbs of crushing pressure.
- 3-Piece Modular Mold: The internal 2.47" x 4.36" mold is CNC-machined from 6061 Aircraft Aluminum, allowing for adjustable brick thickness and effortless removal.
- Ergonomic Dual-Lever Design: Includes two extra-long removable handles. The dual-side frame allows you to reposition handles for maximum leverage at every stage.
- Universal Frame Compatibility: While optimized for bricks, this heavy-duty frame is also compatible with standard 2x4" pre-press molds, making it a versatile cornerstone for any lab.
- 100% Metal Construction: Built with zero plastic parts. The rugged steel and aluminum build can handle high-temperature pre-heating and repeated high-pressure cycles.
Expert Advice: Professional Compacting Protocols
To achieve dense, uniform pucks and flawless bricks with your 2-ton press, follow these industry-tested techniques:
- Zero-Heat Cold Compaction (Preserve Delicate Aromas): Always compact at ambient room temperature. Applying high heat prematurely degrades volatile natural compounds and causes material to melt and seize against metal walls. Pure mechanical force is all you need to form an ultra-dense, stable puck while locking in fresh color and potency.
- Use a Parchment Liner for Effortless Release: While the precision-machined 6061 aluminum mold offers smooth ejection, placing a precut strip of food-grade parchment paper at the bottom and top of your load is the gold standard. It guarantees razor-sharp edges, instant release without sticking, and keeps your mold spotless batch after batch.
- The 60–90 Second "Dwell" Phase (Prevent Spring-Back): Once maximum 2-ton compression is applied, do not release immediately. Allow the material to "dwell" under static load for 60 to 90 seconds. This allows microscopic air pockets to escape and fibers to interlock naturally, ensuring your puck retains its compact shape without expanding (spring-back) upon ejection.
- Uniform Leveling & Stable Foundation: Spread your dry material evenly within the mold before applying force; uneven density leads to angled pucks and potential blowouts during subsequent pressing. For maximum safety and optimal leverage, always secure the base to a sturdy workbench using the pre-drilled mounting holes.

The "Perfect Brick" Protocol
- Loading: Fill the 3-piece mold evenly. Level the material for a perfectly flat brick.
- Positioning: Align the mold directly under the threaded ram for 100% vertical force.
- The Lock: Apply forceful turns. Let it "set" for several minutes under pressure.
- Extraction: Disassemble the mold pieces to slide the brick out. Clean while warm.
