Dabpress dp-rp35 3x5 uncaged rosin plates with mounting rod, aluminum bar, and bamboo insulation plank.

Uncaged Mastery: 3x5" DIY Rosin Press Plates (dp-rp35)

The Dabpress dp-rp35 Uncaged Kit provides the ultimate customization for DIY builders. Unlike caged kits, this model allows you to secure the plates directly to your shop press ram and worktable for a permanent, high-stability setup.

01. Capacity & Pairing Guide

Max Load: 28g Flower per press.
Filter Pairing: 2x4” or 2.5x4.5” nylon bags (90-160 micron for flower; 37 micron for hash).
Mold Pairing: Compatible with dp-pm3015r, dp-pm40r, and dp-pm4007s pre-press molds.

02. Installation & Alignment

Precision mounting is critical for uncaged plates. Follow these steps carefully:
1.Base Setup: Place the bamboo insulation plank on your arbor plates. Place the bottom platen on top.
2.Secure Bottom Plate: Thread the mounting rod up through the arbor plates and bamboo, then into the bottom platen. Tighten the wing nut against the aluminum bar to lock the platen to your worktable.
3.Secure Top Plate: Slide the top platen onto your shop press ram. Center the ram into the platen collar and tighten all 4 bolts securely.
4.Final Check: Lower the ram until plates touch. If they are not perfectly centered, loosen the wing nut and adjust the bottom platen before reapplying pressure.

03. Operating Your DIY Build

Heating: Power on the PID. Recommended: 180-220°F (Flower) or 160-200°F (Sift). Wait 10 minutes for a full thermal soak.
Pressure Ramp: Slowly compress. Finer materials (hash/sift) require a much slower speed to prevent blowouts.
The Feel: Aim for a "tight" feeling on the handle. If parchment paper tears or stains through, you are using excessive pressure. Aim for 1,000 Material PSI.
Expert Insight: Unlike caged kits, the dp-rp35 includes a Bottom Plate Holder set. Utilizing this rod system ensures that your plates stay in perfect alignment throughout thousands of cycles, preventing "plate walking" during high-pressure extractions.
Safety: Turn off the PID box immediately after use to prevent hydraulic seal damage. Use the bamboo plank to prevent heat draining into the press frame.
