  • Remove excess stems from flowers.
  • Use less material in your filter bag.
  • Preheating your material first to get it melty before you begin to apply pressure.
  • Apply the pressure more slowly.

          Quad plates, how massive!

I received this cube kit yesterday and began my pressing. The plates take a while to heat up due to 2 heaters in first revision, my understanding is future revision will include 4 heaters. In a way I am happy to only have 2 heaters as it is only running 600W and that is perfect for my rosin room which is already taxed for power. Perhaps in the future I will look at the upgraded rosin control box.

This press is best used with magnetic alignment jig dp-mj257, or with a second rosineer to assist with aligning the puck (if not using the jig) on the other side of the press.

A lot of pressure is needed to operate this press under maximum loads, A 50-ton H-frame press would be recommended. 35 sq/in is what you get with these plates, divided by 2 sets. If wanting to achieve 1600 PSI across the entire surface of the plates (using largest compatible rosin filters) you will need at least 28 tons of pressure.

Overall these plates are built extremely well, the hardware is top notch and heavy duty. For the commercial presser, this will have many uses, especially pressing 2 different strains at the same time, keeping their rosin separate.
